Adewunmi Akingbola is a medical doctor-in-training in Nigeria, he is an ardent proponent of the United Nations SDGs especially Goal 3 Good health and well-being. He is the Founder of HealthDrive Nigeria, an initiative tasked with the responsibility of creating awareness against the menace of Hepatitis and other liver diseases in Nigeria.

Adewunmi is a recipient of the Africa 25 Under 25 Awards by IKapture Networks and Opportunity desk and a 2020 nominee of the AfriSAFE Awards, the most prestigious Health Awards in Africa. He was nominated alongside the governor of Lagos State, CEO of Egbon Power and other highly notable Africans leaders.His works in Hepatitis was recognized by ex-President Bill Clinton and he was admitted into a fellowship Program in Clinton Global Initiative University in 2020.

HealthDrive Nigeria is a youth-led initiative that primarily creates awareness about Hepatitis (viral and non viral), liver diseases and other community-relevant diseases through Health awareness walks, online campaigns, pubic education and enlightenment via seminars and webinars, free Hepatitis B and C screening and a highly subsidized Hepatitis B Vaccination.

On the number of beneficiaries of HealthDrive, Adewunmi said “We have also been able to conduct free Hepatitis tests to about 4000 persons in Southwestern Nigeria and has vaccinated about 2000 persons. Infected people are usually helped to gain access to Specialists”.Adewunmi advised other young change makers, to “be impact and change oriented, and should be committed to solving inherent and societal issues” HealthDrive is estimated to have millions of viewers via it social media campaigns and mass media as it host shows on TVC and Hi-impact TV.
